When I howled at the moon and a piece came off

Books start weighing down the top shelf
and I awaken with a yearning for another self
The same as the other name
I don't want to be weary anymore

Through a chain link fence and two different walls

At the same named domicile I became a dog

So I bite and I bay at the heels of the moon
And I pray that the snow falls heavily soon
On the hands that lay stones at the base of my tomb
So the meter evens out when I write them a tune
And what exactly stays the same?
